Day 1 - Welcome into Romania! Bucharest City Tour

Arrival in the airport of Bucharest and transfer to the hotel. Meet the tour guide andWelcome into Romania!

Seightseeing tour of Bucharest: Victoria Square, Revolution Square, University Square, Romana Square and also the historical center where you can see the Stavropoleos Church, Hanul Manuc Inn, the commercial street Lipscani and the CEC Palace.

Welcome dinner with entertainment in one of the most famous restaurants in Bucharest – Caru cu Bere.

Accommodation at Hilton Hotel 4* or similar/ Bucharest.

Day 2 – Bucharest - Monastery Curtea de Argeş – Câmpulung Muscel

Breakfast. In the morning - visit the Palace of Parliament.

Departure to Curtea de Argeş, former capital of Wallachia. Visit of the monastery Curtea de Argeş, considered the most beautiful monastery of Eastern Europe, built in the early sixteenth century by Prince Neagoe Basarab and the well-known Master Manole whose legend lives on through the ages.

Day 3 – Câmpulung Muscel – Bran Castle – Peleş Castle – Monastery of Sinaia

Breakfast. Departure to visit Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) built between 1377 and 1382 on a large rock, the fortress had the role to defence and control the most important trade route that linked in the Middle Ages, Walachia and Transylvania. But the castle owes its fame mainly to the legend associated with the figure of Vlad Ţepeş.

We continue to Sinaia, the favourite mountain resort of king Carol Ist, known as 'The pearl of the Carpathians'. Visit of the Peles Royal Castle built in German Renaissance style in the exterior and Eclectic style in the interior, the most beautiful castle in Romania. Nearby there is the Sinaia Monastery, which gave the name of the town.

Day 4 – Câmpulung Muscel – Transfăgărăşan

Breakfast. Departure to visit Transfăgărăşan – the most beautiful high road in Romania.

Day 5 – Câmpulung Muscel – Braşov - Sibiu

Breakfast. Departure to visit Braşov and Sibiu – the most beautiful medieval cities in Romania

Sibiu (Hermannstadt in German) was the largest and wealthiest of the seven walled citadels built in the 12th century by German settlers known as Transylvanian Saxons. The riches amassed by its guilds paid for the construction of both impressive buildings and the fortifications required to protect them.
Sibiu’s Old Town retains the grandeur of its earlier days when rich and powerful guilds dominated regional trade. Like Sighisoara and Braşov, it has a distinctly Germanic feeling. Sections of the medieval wall still guard the historic area, where narrow streets pass steep-roofed 17th century buildings with gable overhangs before opening into vast, church-dominated squares such as Great Square and Little Square. Sibiu is a pedestrian-friendly city with two easily accessible levels: the Upper town, home to most of Sibiu's historic sight, and the Lower town, lined with colorful houses on cobblestone streets and bounded by imposing city walls and defense towers overlooking the river Cibin. Tradiţionally, the Upper town was the wealthier part and commercial outlet, while the Lower town served as the manufacturing area. The historical centre includes the Great Square, Huet Square, the beautiful Passage of Steps connecting the upper town to the lower town, the well-knownBridge of Lies, Goldsmiths’ Square and the Small Square.

Then we go on to Braşov (Kronstadt ) called the “city of the crown “, an important cultural medieval centre, where in the 16th century were printed the first books in omanian. Guided city tour of Braşov:starting from the wonderful Council Square we will have a guided tour of the historic centre, enhanced by civil and religious buildings, such as the Black Church, the largest Gothic church in Romania, the Council House built in the 15th century, rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1689 in Baroque style, the St. Nicolas Church combining the Gothic style outside with the Byzantine style inside, the Museum of the First Romanian School from Scheii Braşovului hiding a great treasure of books and old manuscripts, the Ecaterina and Schei Gates, separating the Romanians from the Saxons.

Day 6 – Sibiu - Sighişoara – Târgu Mureş – Vişeu de Sus

Breakfast. Departure to visit Sighişoara. Founded by Transylvanian Saxons during the 12th century, Sighişoara (Schassburg in German) still stands as one of the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. Designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this perfectly intact 16th century gem with nine towers, cobbled streets, burgher houses and ornate churches rivals the historic streets of Old Prague or Vienna for atmospheric magic. It is also the birthplace of Vlad Dracula, also known as Vlad Ţepeş (Vlad the Impaler), ruler of the province of Walachia from 1456 to 1462. It was he who inspired Bram Stoker's fictional creation, Count Dracula. We started the tour of this city with the Tailors’ Tower, the Shoemakers’ Tower, the Rope Makers’ Tower, the Clock Tower, Medieval Museum, etc. Then we went to the city of Târgu Mureş, called the "city of roses", where we take a city sightseeing tour, with the Orthodox Cathedral, the Palace Teleki, Drama Theatre, Catholic Church, Palace of Culture, City and Prefecture. Lunch at local restaurant in Târgu Mureş. In the afternoon we went to the wonderful region of Maramureş, which houses the oldest customs of Romania.

Day 7 – Vişeu de Sus - Sighetu Marmaţiei - Bârsana - Rozavlea – Ieud – Vişeu

Breakfast. We continue our stay in this land of dreams, through the valleys of the rivers Iza and Mara, true folk art museums outdoors. In the morning we will return to the past, making a ride with a steam train of the year '30, (Mocăniţa) the only means of transport that works today to traverse the forest of Maramureş, a journey to discovering the untouched nature and ancestral traditions. The train Mocăniţa makes a spectacular tour, through valleys, bridges, galleries, rocks, from a height of 600 meters and 1.100 meters reaching, reaching suddenly in a dream landscape. After finishing the tour with this train, we went to visit the famous wooden churches: Bârsana, Rozavlea, Ieud-that today is UNESCO Heritage. Lunch en route. Afternoon arrival in Vişeu de Sus.

Day 8 - Vişeu de Sus – Borşa – Moldoviţa - Voroneţ

Breakfast. We crossed the Carpathians by Step Prislop to reach another enchanting region of Romania - Moldova, one of the most representative tourist areas in Romania, called the land of the 2.000 monasteries. The monasteries of Voroneţ, Suceviţa, Moldoviţa and Humor, with its frescoes painted both inside and outside, are a legacy of Byzantine art in the world, comparable to those of Cappadocia, Mistra or Meteors, unique Europe, which is why they have been declared UNESCO World Heritage. In the afternoon we arrive in Moldoviţa where we will have a lesson of religion, culture and live. Moldoviţa Monastery, built in 1532 by Petru Rareş is painted both inside and outside with scenes as the "Victory of Constantinople," The Prayer of the Holy Virgin "or" Tree of Jesse. " The dominant color of the Monastery of Moldoviţa is sunny yellow. This is the largest church built during the period of Moldavian style. Near by we visit Suceviţa fortified Monastery, the last building in the style of Ştefan cel Mare, exterior frescoes date from 1596 and the color green predominates over all.

Day  9 - Voroneţ – Dragomirna - Humor – Voroneţ

Breakfast. After breakfast we will visit two other beautiful monasteries: Humor and Voroneţ, the last one was founded in 1488 by King Stephen the Great and known as "The Sistine Chapel of the East" with the famous dominant color “blue of Voroneţ”. We will also assist at a demonstration of manual work of black ceramics from Marginea and a demonstration of traditional hand painted eggs - traditions from Bukovina. In the afternoon we visit an atypical monastery - Dragomirna Monastery - next to Suceava.

Day 10 - Voroneţ – Bacău

Breakfast. In the morning departure for the monasteries Agapia and Văratec, the most famous from the Neamţ area. Then we continue to the airport of Bacău / Bucharest (it depends on the flight),  At the set time with the guide, transfer to the airport.
